Chess by Receipt
Correspondence chess played by text message. Your opponent moves, your phone buzzes, you text your move back. Games run for weeks, a move or two a day. If you have a thermal receipt printer, each move prints on paper as well.
How to join
Text JOIN to (207) 386-8363
You will get one message back confirming you are signed up, with a link to your games and settings. That is the whole sign-up: there is no account and no password.
If a friend invited you, they will have given you a three-word code. Text that code to the same number instead — for example JOIN amber-cactus-dragon — and your game opens.
What you are agreeing to

- Message frequency varies with how you play — typically a few messages per week per game.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop all messages. Reply HELP for help.
